Colossians 1:9 “For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray and make request for you, that ye may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding.”
Financial Scripture is a Confession point for making prayer and supplication in finances previewed from Jae Magazine, covering the book of Colossians and excerpted from In Defense of Stillness by Jae Elizabeth, the world's largest scholastic compilaiton of full financial verses.
Prayer. Prayer is merely having a conversation with God. Can you remember your first cry out to God? It was a moment of vulnerability, where you admitted to your mortal self that not only were you smaller, but you were in need of a savior. We all need God to direct our paths and make our crooked places straight because his thoughts are not our thoughts and his ways are not our ways.
Prayer opens up the channels of communication for God to intervene on our behalf. The great thing is, we can also make requests and prayers about others to have God intervene and reveal his will for their lives to them. We can literally intercede and stand in the gap for our fellow man and pray that God would fill them with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding. That is pretty remarkable to have direct access to the creator of the universe 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Whether you pray for yourself or others, be encouraged to make prayer a fixture in your life.
