Colossians 1:29 “whereunto I labor also, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.”
Financial Scripture is a Confession point on having the grace of freedom from vain toil in finances previewed from Jae Magazine, covering the book of Colossians and excerpted from In Defense of Stillness by Jae Elizabeth, the world's largest scholastic compilation of full financial verses.
Jesus told us to take his yoke upon him because his yoke is easy and his burden is light. So when we labor for righteousness sake, laboring for the Lord, it is not done in vain. Nor, when we work on behalf of God, he meets us more than halfway and comes in strong and mightily. What is relief that we do not have to take on yokes that are too great for us to bear? What satisfaction and joy we can take from God knowing that through his grace, we have sufficient help for whichever projects come our way.
I know that this knowledge and wisdom of God is especially useful when I am undertaking activities in which I am not accustomed or familiar with. It is refreshing to carry along that foreknowledge of God’s goodness, knowing that his love extends in this way. When you feel heavily burdened, be encouraged to hand that problem over the Jesus and let him guide you to a path of peace.
