Love does not boast. When you are bragging, you are not loving and one must consider how this display of vanity effects the other person. When you feel a need to boast, it comes from a lack of belief in yourself that you are enough. I want to encourage you today that you are enough. When God formed and knitted you in the womb, it was because he had something spectacular in mind for you to do on this planet. Never compare yourself to others, rather celebrate your differences.
If someone tries to introduce an element into your life journey that you are not enough, know that it is not from God. We must learn to celebrate and love people right where they are, just as they are. If God equipped you with special DNA to bring forth your personality, looks and demeanor, then you should know that you have everything complete within you to complete the calling God placed inside of you before you were even born. May that truth uplift you and encourage you to push towards your calling even when you believe that you are not enough. God loves and approves of you because he created you in the first place. We all have elements that we need to work on and improve in, and sin we need to overcome. Take the first step of faith and allow God to work on you so that you can boast in the Lord of his goodness and kindness, mercy and patience.
It is not proud. Love is not arrogant. It has a teachable spirit, ready to serve and to learn. It does not display an iota of haughtiness. Scripture warns us that pride always comes before a fall. When you are tempted to be easily offended if things do not go your way, remove your ego and allow your true self to come through, which is the Christ-like character within. Allow the spirit of peace to dwell among you and your brethren.
